PUBLIC TRANSPORT GUIDE for CATTLEMAN’S REST, WORTH MATRAVERS



RAIL

For those travelling by train, it is best to head for WAREHAM or BOURNEMOUTH Railway Stations.

Travelling from the East and South-East, trains run to WAREHAM via LONDON.

From the West and South-West, trains run to WAREHAM via SOUTHAMPTON.

From the Midlands and the North-West, it is best to take the train to BOURNEMOUTH, and then pick up the Number 50 Bus from the Bournemouth Railway Station to Swanage, and the number 40 Bus (see below) from Swanage to Langton Matravers. It is a 24 minute walk from Langton to Worth Matravers.


BUSES FROM WAREHAM (Poole – Wareham - Swanage)

Take the Number 40 Bus from Wareham Station.
It leaves hourly in the daytime Monday-Saturday at 42 minutes past the hour from 06:42 until 18:42, then at 19:36 and 22:16.

You can alight at KINGSTON, Outside the Scott Arms Pub (arriving at 25 mins past the hour) and pick up the Number 44 bus (see below) but this service is limited, and it may not be your best option.

Alternatively, alight at Langton Matravers at 30 mins past the hour and take a 24 minute walk to Worth Matravers.


BUSES FROM SWANAGE to KINGSTON to WORTH MATRAVERS

The Number 44 Bus leaves Swanage Bus Station at 12:15 and 14:15.
It stops at the Scott Arms public house at 12:32 and 14:32, and arrives at Worth at 12:37 and 14:37.
